Oh, my, I'm not very good at this sort of thing. I imagine you are expecting yours truly to write something witty, or funny, smart, or maybe even a little snarky about myself -- I shall try not to disappoint then, eh.
Let us begin with the basics then. I am twenty-one years old, I live in Minnesota, I am roughly 5'6" tall, I weigh 115 pounds, I have green-ish eyes, and I have fairly standard mahogany colored hair. Will that suffice? I may post pictures every now and then, but I am not very photogenic, so don't expect it.
Umm... Personality -- everyone loves a good personality, right? I am a neat freak -- even ask my roommate, or any of my friends for that matter. I cannot abide by clutter, foul odors (my poor overly sensitive nose), or general dirtiness. As such, I make it a point to clean up my room on a fairly consistent basis. Now, when I say that I clean my room, I am not suggesting that I spend the entire day scrubbing down the walls and deep-cleansing my personal belongings -- no, my friends, I do not waste my time doing this every week. Usually, I simply dust the room, sweep the floors, clean up the clutter and take on one fairly significant task (like, for instance, cleaning the walls, the floors, or the windows).
I am interested in finance and economics. True to my calling, I abide by the old adage: "A penny saved is a penny earned." That said, I do allow myself the occasional, and even weekly, indulgence.
When it comes to social/civil rights, I am unabashedly pro-choice -- to a point. I believe that everyone should be granted the right to dictate their own destinies without outside interference -- provided, of course, that their course of action does not put another in harms way without reasonable justification. I am also a socialist -- that isn't very common among business majors, but I'm not a very common person. ;)
I do have one... I suppose you might consider it to be a quirk, perhaps. I am asexual -- you, yes you in the back -- the one giving me the quizzical looks while simultaneously searching through your biology book resourcing amoebas and other such creatures that reproduce asexually -- I am referring to a legitimate, though not widely recognized sexuality, not asexual reproduction, duh. There are a number of "levels" of asexuality -- I am considered to be a "disgusted asexual" among the asexual community due to my extreme aversion to sexual practices of any sort -- however, as a rule, in order to be asexual you must have no sexual desire what-so-ever. I consider myself to be purely asexual -- that is, I have no level of attraction to either sex, nor do I have any desire towards the half/half people either (think shemales). The reason I raise this point is that you may find heterosexual asexuals, homosexual asexuals, bisexual asexuals, and even pansexual asexuals who do harbor attraction towards their respective dominant sexualities; however, they have no sexual drive.
Sexuality plays a fairly significant role in one's life -- yes, even in my own life (or, perhaps, even more-so in my life). As such, I have decided to adopt this particular trait as a part of my name (that, and I have adopted such a title in other forums in the past). Along with that, however, I have included the name enya as my surname -- this is because I absolutely love the musical artist Enya and because I have adopted enya as a surname in other online forums.
Ho'migosh, you are not bored yet, are you? I hope not -- I really am an interesting person, I promise. Okay, so my life is not very exciting and my dreams are not all that grand; but, I do hope that my journal entries will, at least on the occasion, stir up some laughter, sadness, or anger -- emotions are nice.
With that, I give you, my life's journal -- as of September 15, 2006. Anything prior to that point you will simply have to fantasize over in your own spare time. XP
